The viewfinder is just a small TV.
Controls are for video quality adjustment.
Note the big knob which is use to zoomin/out and focusing. It attached to the Canon lens at the front via some gears.
Pushing the knob zoom in. Pulling the knob zoom out.
Turning the knob clockwise/anticlockwise focus the lens.
