Pioneer DV-535K DVD Player Control Switch Assembly

Here is the tiny switches that control the DVD player. The switches are activated from the front panel buttons. You can actually see how the buttons are design such that when they are push from the front panel, they activated the little switches ( called push button switches ).

Each switch is about 5mm x 5mm in size. The round white plastic is actually the push button that operated the switch electrical contact house in the small black plastic case.

All the swtiches are assembled in a tiny printed circuit board that connects to the rest of the electronics via a flat cable with muliple conductors - a ribbon cable.

It is likely that this switch assembly is make in a specialised production line ( or even in another factory ) before being assembled here with the other electronics board. This is typical of modern day electronics manufacturing practice.
