Sony DXC 1200P Trinicon TV Camera - Magnetic Deflection Coil

This is the horizontal and vertical deflection yoke ( copper windings wrapped around plastic cylinder ) that surrounds the trinicon.
The whole assembly fits into the large metallic cylinder which is actually the magnetic focusing coil. Unlike a cathode ray tube where the deflection yoke sits on the neck of the tube, in the trinicon, the deflection yoke traverse almost the entire length of the trinicon.
These combinations focus the electron beam into a sharp line and deflects it over the sensor end of the trinicon. The focusing coil also ensures that the electrons are all travelling in parallel straight lines ( help in part by the accelerating high voltage applied inside the trinicon ).
