Proposed Quality Assessment Of Philips Mistral Steam Iron

This is a well used Philips Mistral steam laundry iron. I intend to dissassembled it over the next few hours. The objective is to study the engineering design in a modern electric steam iron. The iron is actually white, the discoloration is due to exposure to the UV rays from the sun when left out in the porch. Notice the wearing of the non-stick Teflon coating on the iron undersite, probably the result of abrasion against buttons and zippers.
