This is the audio/video processing electronics board partially hidden by the laser optics/disc handling assembly.
This board provide the audio/video decoding of the signals from the laser optics assembly.
Video is produces in various formats like component video, the standard PAL/NTSC video. S-Video, digital output, control in ( from home theatre ). PAl to NTSC conversion and vice versa. Note the back panel connectors that are mounted directly to the board.
