Pioneer DV-535K DVD Player Power Supply Module

This is the power supply module of the Pioneer DV-535K DVD player.

Unlike older home electronics appliances that use a bulky step down transformer to convert voltages from high voltage ac to low voltage ac, this power supply module uses switching technology to convert the high voltage ac to low voltage dc to power the various electronics boards in the DVD player.

The power supply also regulates the dc voltage to ensure a constant voltage. Voltage spike and noise are also filter off here.

In normal operation, the power supply is only partially switch on with just enough power to sense the remote control operation. When fully turn on via the front panel switch or remote control, full power is delivered to the rest of the electronics circuit.
